A personal project. I drew the letter K every day for one hundred days. Shown here are some of my favorites, plus a flipbook gif of about 40 of them. See the whole collection on Instagram under the hashtag #100daysofKs.
Veritas Editions is a publishing imprint created by photographer Craig Alan Huber. I first got the chance to work with Craig through Lucia|Marquand, where I assisted in producing a letterpress-printed book of his platinum/palladium prints. When he was in need of a logo for his new venture, he enlisted my help.
The story behind the name centers around the Roman goddess of truth, Veritas, who was so elusive that she was believed to have hidden in the bottom of a holy well. The design intends to capture not only Veritas’s mystery, but also the monumental strength and grandeur that Roman deities evoke. Both the illustration and typography are informed and inspired by stone-carved lettering.
